    Collaborative efforts

    The events of World Blood Donor Day are being supported by the collaborative efforts of four international organizations working for the provision of safe blood globally:

    • the World Health Organization
    • the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
    • the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations
    • the International Society of Blood Transfusion

    Between them, these organizations represent 192 WHO Member States, 181 national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, 50 national voluntary blood donor organizations and thousands of blood transfusion specialists throughout the world. Through the participation of their members and other organizations, such as yours, World Blood Donor Day will be a truly global event.
